Jiemba Kangaroo
Jiemba is made from an upholstery velvet fabric. He is 6" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched. Inspired by Aboriginal Australian artwork, Jiemba is decorated with patterns of white seed and round beads.

The pattern on his upper torso is the symbol for "river", while the pattern on the lower torso is the symbol for "star". Thought to be a gender-neutral moniker of the Wiradjuri people in New South Wales, Australia, Jiemba may mean “Venus” or “laughing star.” Jiemba a one of a kind creation.

Inspector Clouseau
Inspector Clouseau is made from a mauve upholstery velvet fabric. He is 7.5" long, with a wingspan of 9". Inspector Clouseau is a real pink manta ray discovered in the Great Barrier Reef near Australia's Lady Elliot Island. The pink color is thought to be caused by a genetic mutation.

Inspector Clouseau has a loop to attach to a plastic wave, which is included. Inspector Clouseau a one of a kind creation.

Sweetie
Sweetie is made from red and white short pile mohair. She is 3.5" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched.

Sweetie has a white velvet heart with red and white heart trim and a silver tone butterfly. She has a lace collar as well.

Rosey is made from pink and white short pile mohair. She is 3.5" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched.

Blueberry Cheesecake
Blueberry Cheesecake is made from a nubby miniature plush fabric. She is 3.5" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched.

Blueberry Cheesecake has blueberry needlefelted swirls on the body and miniature blueberries on the bellybutton, paw, and up by one ear. Comes with a blue ceramic ice-cream cone and a needlefelted "ice-cream" nest with miniature blueberries.

Lichen
Lichen is made from miniature upholstery fabric in a light sage green. Lichen is 3 1/2" tall, fully jointed and all hand stitched.

Lichen has black bead antennae, bead and crystal wings, and comes with a felt mushroom.

Clementine & Carlotta
Clementine and Carlotta is a bear and elephant pair on a hand made make-do pincushion.

Clementine is a 6" elephant made from grey mohair. She is fully jointed and wears a blue and green polka dotted neck ruffle. Carlotta is a clown bear made from neon pink and yellow upholstery fabric. She has a pink hat and a black polka dotted ribbon neck ruff.

Clementine is perched on a pincushion made from upholstery fabric samples and mounted on a thrifted candlestick. Carlotta is perched on Clementine's head. The piece stands 17" tall.

Ginger and Snap
Ginger and Snap are made from an upholstery velvet fabric. They are each 3.5" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched.

Ginger has pink "icing", a white skirt, pink button hat, and a snowman cookie. Snap has blue "icing", a blue button hat, and a Christmas tree cookie.

Ginger and Snap come with their gingerbread tree and are a one of a kind creation.

Fritz Brings Home the Tree
Fritz is made from a short pile mohair fabric. He is just 3.5" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched.

Juniper is made from a dark green low pile mohair fabric. He is 3.5" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched.

Juniper has a beaded neck piece made from Swarovski crystals on tiny ball tip headpins.

Fergus
Fergus's garden is looking great this year, with carrots, radishes and leeks ready to pick.

Fergus is made from long pile brown mini-plush, fully jointed, and all hand-stitched. He wears blue denim overalls with little red buttons, and has a shovel and pitchfork handy.

Fergus's garden vignette is built in a miniature wheelbarrow. The piece is 12" long, 9" tall and 5" wide.

Bartleby Grimsby
Bartleby Grimsby is made from vintage red upholstery velvet. He stands 3" tall, fully jointed, and all hand-stitched.

Bartleby is a global explorer in the Victorian Steampunk era. His white collar is properly starched, and his top hat is equipped with the necessary goggles and gears.

He shows off his most recent addition to his cabinet of curiosities - a mummified fairy preserved under a glass dome.

Archie
Archis is made from light beige mohair. He stands 3.25" tall, fully jointed and all hand-stitched.

I don't remember a time when I wasn't creating something. Growing up in a large family, we were encouraged to make things, mostly from scraps, recyclables, odds & ends and leftovers. I still prefer to find creative ways to use old items and my favorite supply store is the thrift store, but I have learned the value of using quality materials and tools. My creations tend to be a mix of the best of both of these worlds. In 2019, I began to focus on making miniature bears sized under 4" tall, sometimes with larger animal companions. I use upholstery velvets (both modern and vintage), miniature plush fabrics, and short pile mohair. I constantly search for unique pieces to use with my bears, and I really enjoy making little vignettes to display them. My name is Elizabeth Taylor.
